the plan is to create an Etsy shop. I keep dragging my feet because I don't care for taking pictures. I also need to make a few things. I managed to sell out this holiday season and don't have a single box and very few new pieces of jewelry. January and February tend to be hibernation time for me. I find it hard to get motivated to create. I try not to worry about it as the urge to make things always comes back as the days get longer.
I was inspired by some of the pictures on my old posts. I want to get back to working with metal clay and really, really want to buy a kiln. I should just do it. Charge it and pay for it a bit at a time. I am trying to get my finances back in shape after my very unsettling 2010. Makes me hesitant to make such a large purchase.
My other venture will be to get into the Schenectady Farmer's Market. I was pushed out of the Troy market because they decided to no longer take daily vendors. It was a blow because I loved going there, did great business and had a bit of a following. I still can't quite figure out why they ousted me as I filled space before alot of the vendors with produce wert in full swing. I'm hoping that the Schenectady market will be as much fun and profitable as well.

Photo Shoot
Spent most of yesterday fooling about with my daughter's new camera. Figured I'd better before she goes off to school. Anyway, I'm pretty pleased with the results and I'm posting a few pictures. I'd like to use one of the group shots to have postcards printed but I'm still struggling with vistaprint. They don't like the resolution and I'm not sure what to do about it.

4-1 Spiral Roll On Bracelet
This bracelet was inspired by Karan of The Wild Inside. It's a 4-1 spiral chain joined with a bead green melon bead and some bali bead caps. I made the rings by hand late last night. This weave will not hold it's shape unless it is connected to itself. If it has a clasp it must be retwisted every time it is put on. If you just want to make a plain roll-on type bracelet there is a tricky little joining that must be done. Karan was kind enough to share the tip and I did manage to do it. However, it was too small. Rather than cut more rings I opted for the bead station which does the job.
